Limits and trust levels
Your plan sets how much you can send each month. Your trust level sets how fast marketing email may go out. It rises on its own as you send cleanly.
Trust levels
| Level | Name | Reached by | Marketing / day | Largest broadcast | Test send first |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | Trial | Sign up | 200 | 500 | Every broadcast |
| 1 | New | Card + verified domain | 1,000 | 2,000 | Every broadcast |
| 2 | Starting | 7 days + 3 clean sends | 5,000 | 10,000 | New audiences |
| 3 | Established | 14 days, clean | 25,000 | 50,000 | New audiences |
| 4 | Trusted | 30 days, clean | 100,000 | No limit | Off |
| 5 | Custom | Manual review | Custom | No limit | Off |
"Clean" means a bounce rate under 2% and complaints under 0.05% over 7 days, having used at least half the daily limit on some day. Accounts move up at most one level a day, and a limit never more than doubles in one step.
GET /v1/health shows the current level, today's marketing limit and what's left, and the requirements for the next level.
Test sends
At lower levels an approved broadcast goes to a small sample first. Mailpark waits, checks bounces and complaints, and only then sends the rest. If the sample looks unhealthy the broadcast is held, with a hold_reason and hold_fix, until a person reviews it.
What can stop a send
- daily_limit_reached: today's marketing limit is used up.
- spending_cap_reached: marketing reached the monthly cap the owner set.
- plan_limit_reached: the free plan's emails for the month are used.
- marketing_paused and account_paused: sending was paused.
- broadcast_too_large: the audience is bigger than the level allows.
Emergency stop
If something goes wrong, POST /v1/account/pause-marketing stops every broadcast and sequence at once. Any key can pause; only a person can resume, in the web app. Transactional email keeps flowing.
